waterAncient philosophers, scientists, and alchemists believed that all matter consists of four elements: earth, air, fire, and water. Chef Nixon’s vision was to combine these four elements to create a complete dining experience, from the food to the atmosphere, resulting in something innovative and unexpected. The Element 112 concept is represented by both the cutting edge modern cuisine and each of the unique architectural elements found within the restaurant: from the “clouds” in the ceiling structure, to the floating filament bulbs, to the custom glass panels of water and fire in the bar.
With a philosophy centered around the elements, a little science, and fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, it seemed most fitting that the name of Element 112 also reflect this. The restaurant’s namesake was derived from Copernicium, or Cn, discovered by Copernicus and found on the periodic table with an atomic weight of 112. Copernicium also bears Chef Chris Nixon’s initials, Cn, and like Copernicus, Chef Nixon presents a new perspective on the food he prepares, transforming it into a memorable and unique experience for his guests.
Element 112 offers a carefully crafted dining experience with outstanding service, comfortable ambiance, and exceptional cuisine. We look forward to having you join us.
